And we never did baby cereal. We did whole oatmeal some mornings. We offered high iron items like black beans with high vitamin C items like mango, oranges, etc. We rarely offered high iron foods with dairy foods since that messes with the absorbtion of the iron. I have struggled with anemia a lot as a teen. We've been tested multiple times in the past year and are always great on iron! We also cook in cast iron now.
