At the end of April I will be leaving my lo to go to Vegas for a week. I am being sent there for training by my employer. Even though it will be extremely hard to leave Caitlyn, I just couldn't turn down the training. Of course the fact that it's in Vegas didn't hurt either
Caitlyn will turn 2 on April 22 (I can't believe she will be2 already, wow the time has flown by) and I leave on April 26th and will be gone 4 nights/5 days. This will be the first time I have left her over night since she was born. I have to admit I am more than a little stressed about it.
Caitlyn is still nursing, but I was hoping to wean her soon. I was wondering if this would be a good opportunity to go ahead and just wean her? Since I will be gone anyway and doesn't seem to miss nursing when I am not there.
I am at work all day, so she only nurses right now when I get home from work and when she goes to sleep (sometimes during the night when she wakes up as well). So, she isn't really nursing all that much at this point.
My hubby thinks I should have her weaned before I leave. He thinks it will be too stressful for her to have me gone and not being able to nurse. I think it would be easier, since I am not going to be there anyway and she only wants to nurse if I am there with her.
What do you guys think? I would love to hear your opinions.
