    Default Mastitis

Is it possible I could get mastitis this late in the game?

I have red streaks running from my nipple and a very sore area on my breast. Also a fever and I feel like I have the flu.

What do you do for this?

I would assume you can get it anytime you are nursing...

I believe abx is the only way to get rid of it once you have the streaks and the flu like symptoms...

hope you feel better soon mama!

I feel like I'm going to die.

My OB is calling in ABX, ugh. Really this is the worst feeling I've had in a looooong time.

Not a bad idea. Definitely can't hurt and should help if you tend to get messed up GI after taking abx.
