I am new to the llli forums and this is my first post. I am first time mommy to a 6mo little boy and we have bf since hour one Long story short we have experienced every problem imaginable, cracked/blistered nipples, OS, OALD, mult. clogged ducts, severe mastitis and then returned to work only to have to deal with LOW supply. all is well now, thank the Lord and it was SO WORTH IT, i love nursing my little one and he loves it to. (my only attempt at offering formula was met with anger, as if to say how dare you put that vile stuff in my bottle??) So now onto solids. We started about 4 weeks ago and he loves almost everything we have given him so far (apples, carrots, pears, bananas, peas, sweet potato) does NOT like cereal. He loves seeing his bowl and spoon and even reaches for the spoon and brings it to his mouth over and over, mommy is very impressed. Everything has been organic purees but I am really more interested in BLS and have done a lot of reading on the subject, still have a few ?s though
Basically what I am wondering is how is everything being offered, do you mash foods and put that onto the tray or is it cut into soft, bite size pieces (dime sized, or smaller?), or big pieces that can be held and munched on (like half a banana or a broccoli flower)?
I am type-A and don't want to try anything unless I know I am doing it right... any advice is much appreciated!! Love reading what all you experienced mommys have to say.
