Default What are you taking to help your supply?

I guess the title says it? What are you taking to boost your supply. I am taking Fenugreek, alfalfa (gross!!!), blessed thistle, red clover, and marshmallow. And eating oatmeal, and drinking LOTS of water. Shoot, I need to drink lots of water just to get all those pills down. And I am drinking Mothers Milk Tea when I can. Are you taking something else?

And can an IBCLC prescribe Reglan or Dom? I feel that I need one of those and when I needed them with DS1, neither my OBGYN nor my son's ped had even heard of them, nor would they research them/prescribe them for me.

    thanks

The only other thing that I took that you aren't is fennel.

My supply was slowly dwindling to where I was barely getting 9oz a day. I finally gave in and went on Dom. I didn't want to go on a medication (especially one that you generally can't come off of) but it has been a godsend! I am back to pumping about 17-20oz a day, and that is with a lower dose and only pumping 3x a day!

My LC recommended it for me, and then I got the info from Dr. Jack Newman's site.

Thanks Hillary, maybe I will add fennel to everything!! I would be THRILLED with 9 oz and I would be over the moon with 17 oz!! Yesterday, with 3 pumping sessions, I was only able to pump 6 oz. Then I pumped 1 oz when I got home and another oz in the middle of the night!

Did you get a prescription from Dr, Newman? PM me if you prefer.

    THanks
