As far as I know all homeopathics are safe for nursing mamas. I have taken this one recently. It's awesome!

I've taken it while pregnant and while nursing K. No issues. Both my OB and the pedi didn't have a problem with me taking it.

    Hi, there.

Great question... <Little disclaimer...> Although LLL does not have a stance on homepathic meds, we encourage each mother to do her own research to see what is best for her & her family. This would be a great place to start (as you're doing). As an LLL Leader, I'm still hesitant to put "all" homepathic meds into one category and consider them safe. Hope you feel better soon!

    Thanks everyone.

I believe in the power of homeopathics. During my sister's homebirth the midwives used homeopathics to stop excessive bleeding. My other sister used homeopathics to aid in turning her breach baby. I have used homeopathics for blocked milk ducts. So the reason I asked was because I've seen the effects homeopathics can have on our bodies. I was worried some of them may decrease milk supply or something.

You know, that would be a really good question for a homeopath. I wasn't thinking of the supply issue.

Mine moved across the country, but maybe I'll try to send her an email and ask.

I live in France where Oscillococcinum, like most homeopathic medicines, is sold in pharmacies. It's quite safe when breastfeeding. I even gave a few granules (not sure what the word is in english, the little white balls) to my son when he was sick. I simply crushed them (about 3) and put the powder on this tongue.
That and about 10 drops of extract of grapefruit seeds - works wonders.

    I've heard them called pellets.

Grapefruit seed extract - quite gross but quite effective.
