    Default head turning

sometimes my 18 month old DS likes to turn his head so that he is facing down towards my belly while he is nursing. Does anyone else's little nurser do this? it is a little annoying! I am just wondering why he does it. I wonder if the head turn pushes on a duct and causes a better milk flow?

They are so smart aren't they? I wouldn't be surprised if he figured out a way to get a faster flow. You can certainly set limits at that age and if it bothers you then I wouldn't allow it. It might take a few days, but if you remain firm and don't nurse him like that then he will get the picture.

My 7 month old does this as well. He also tries to crawl away with it while in my lap. Dinner to go!

Mine does it too. It must increase the milk flow; or maybe DS just likes to nurse in uncomfortable positions.
