Default This isn't the Twilight Zone, it's the 4 month growth spurt?

(I left out certain adjectives like 'exhausting', 'dreaded', 'n'er ending', etc. before the number 4 )

So just when I thought the baby fairy had switched my babe with another I realised we were at the onset of the Great 4 Month Growth Spurt. Are any other mommas going through this now too? For those who 'survived', can you refresh this now-brain-fuzzy mom's memory? How long did/does it last (generally)? Apart from following my little guy's cues to nurse nurse nurse and continue to co-sleep, does anyone else have any advice for surviving this 'advance order for a later, greater supply?'

I remember it lasting a few days but seeming like forever. Hang in there!

Yup, I think it was about a week for us. I didn't think I'd survive that one since she did all her heavy duty nursing at night!

Good luck Mama, and hang in there!

Hang in there, mamma! Growth spurts can occur at any time and happen many times during that first year of baby's life. Nursing on-cue helps your supply balance out to the perfect amount baby needs. For many moms, carrying a baby in a sling, baby carrier, etc. helps tremendously.

    take care,

I have no answers, just sympathy. We're in the midst of it now. It's awful. Horrible. Exhausting. And it feels neverending! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

We are at the tail end of DS's 4 mo growth spurt right now. It lasted about a week longest growth spurt we've ever had! He was up every 2 hours at night but now he's back to 1 or 2 times a night the last couple of nights. Hopefully yours doesn't last as long as ours!
