    Default She's weaning herself!...and a question

I'm almost 17 weeks pregnant and my milk dried up a few weeks ago, but I've still been letting Natalie dry nurse even though my nipples are so sore and it KILLS. I can definitely see her weaning herself though. She's down to 2-3 times a day and each time only lasts a few minutes. She just needs that comfort real quick. The best part is that she isn't using the boobie to fall asleep anymore. She gets her few minutes and then pops off and falls asleep on her own. I'm pretty happy about it. She's 2 and a half now and my goal was 2 years so I've been ready for her to wean for a few months now especially since this pregnancy makes it so painful. Anyways, I just wanted to share this milestone.

My question is....she's never been a fan of cow's milk and now that I'm dried up I'm worried since she's not getting any milk whatsoever. I've even tried flavoring it for her and she still says she doesn't like it and won't drink it. I figured I'd just feed her a lot of yogurt and dairy rich foods. Would that be okay or should I add something else to her diet?

at that age my dd was just having milk on her cereal and thats it.
Cheese and yougart and cottage cheese she would eat.

As long as they are eating other dairy products no cow milk in a cup is fine.

congraduations on the new little one..
