Smile Shared Our First Joke while Nursing

We shared our first "joke" together. It was SOOO cute and sweet! While nursing, LO signed "eat" (still latched on, lol). So, I asked her, "Eat what?" She signed "banana." I asked, "You're eating a banana?" She started laughing and again signed "banana." I told her, "You're not eating a banana! You're eating aaah-uh (what she's called nursing since day 1 in the hospital)." She started cracking up laughing! It was the cutest thing ever! I started laughing, too, and even shed a tear since it was so cute. My baby is growing up and thinking more complexly. Even enough to make a joke! Awwwww.

And thank goodness for baby sign!

About the signing. My LO hears really well. However, my degree is in speech-language pathology/audiology, and we learned SOOOO much beneficial things having to do with signing and I.Q., language development, thinking complexly, etc.

I don't have any books on it or anything. I just sign what I say. I had to take a semester of sign in college for my degree, and it was enough to get LO a nice little vocabulary.

Here is her word list. She's 14 months now, but has been able to sign most of this since 12 months. I probably left some out, but she can also do up to 3 word sentences! It's insane!

    banana

    milk/nurse

My LO has perfect hearing as well, for us it was just an easier method of communication. We started signing with him in the hospital and at 2 he can sign quite a few words:

Water, Banana, Apple, Candy, Please, Thank You, More, Eat, Milk, Daddy, Mommy, Baby, Grandma, Grandpa, Elephant, Dog, Cat, Bird, Duck, Airplane, Tree, Ball, Play, Sleep, Read, Car, Silly, Dance, Voice, Chicken, No, Yes, potty, bath, change, diaper

I think there are afew more but I can't remember. I just looked up signs with google, and the first movie ds got to watch was the baby enstein first signs dvd's.

NOW that I've high jacked the thread... to the OP SO cute!!!
