    Default Reasons for green poos

    Hi Ladies,
What different things can cause green poos?

Have your los had green poos when they are sick (stomach bug of colds??)

I am trying to rule out different things to figure out my lo's green poos.

Reasons my son's ped gave me:
    -virus
-allergy to something I was eating (although she said this was probably not it--she thinks it's rarer than most moms believe)

green poo can be quite normal. As long as the colour is the only sympton, it fits within the realm of normal colours.

Thanks! I think the green poo is a result of teething more than anything else. My only other concern is that my lo has been pooping many times a day and often right after nursing - instead of her usual once a day.
She also seems to be having some extra gas pains....Can the saliva in the intestines cause this difficulty also???

It can be a sign of oversupply. There are other symptoms that will tell you if this is the cause. http://www.llli.org//FAQ/oversupply.html

Green poop can be a classic sign of baby not getting enough hind milk or the fatty milk- Kellymom.com has lots of info on it.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it is. My oversupply, but she has a very stuffy nose. She's def. not getting enough hind milk. We're working on it!

I had oversupply issues too but never saw the green poo until she got a cold. Now she has a cold and is teething and its baackkk!!!!! And seriously icky, she had a major blow out on the plane home yesterday and I had to walk around with poo on my pants for half the day!

    I'm sorry. That's NOT fun...

I never imagined there could be so many variations of green poo....
