    Default Green poo with blood

My 5 mo old just started having muscousy green poo yesterday (has had 3 green bm's in 24 hours). Last night one of the poos had a little blood in it. I now it's not from hindmilk/foremilk issues because I have an undersupply issue right now. I know this is typically a sign of allergies, but I have been eating anything and everything for 5 mo. with no sign of issues in her poo.

    Any other thoughts?

Could this be related to a yeast infection?

I would call the doctor today and ask that they run a stool test to check for a number of bacterias. She could have just caught a bug.

Hmmm...could she have caught a bug from my bm that had bacteria in it?

I left some for day care in the fridge for a week.

I think it is supposed to be good for 8 days - and it didn't look or smell bad.

Or maybe just a bug going around?

Good idea to call the dr.

    Thanks!
Did give the doc. a quick call.
We decided to wait it out. No more blood in stools as of yet.
Still VERY green - not sure if maybe my lo is only getting foremilk instead of hindmilk. I have one breast that overproduces and one under...
    It's always something...

Oh my...I sure know what you are going through right now. I posted the "Trying to Cope with the news" post on page 3 and I am right there with you. For example, not sure if this will help or frighten you, but after having my son scoped, they found that he has sever allergic colitis which has caused sores and lesions in the lining of his intestines. He was having blood in his green stool every time and he passed a total of four blood clots in a month. This lasted from Oct. 23 until Nov. 25 when the Gastro. Specialist demanded that I place my son on Similac Alimentum until his intestine has been healed since it was so severe. I have been encouraged to stop bf by all medical professionals...although I am fighting tooth and nail to resume at the breast. I am on an extremely strict elimination diet of no beef, pork, dairy, soy, gluten, wheat, peanuts and tree nuts. I have also discussed with my local LL Leader about my extreme oversupply and overactive letdown that has generated this situation. My milk production is now under control and I am planning on introducing the breast in another week. It is also being recommended to me that I begin Pancreatic Enzyme Cap. that I would take in order to break down the proteins in foods for digestion, and make foods easier for him to digest. This is something that is newer, haven't started the Enzymes just yet, still taking time to research.

I wish you all of the best. I'm sure you will figure everything out that you need to get your lo without blood in his stool. My situation right now appears to be extremely rare, but I know how any advice or a listening ear can help. Hang in there, I hope the situation will get better on its own!

Good to hear no more blood!! Maybe it is a foremilk/hinkmilk imbalance. Im sure things will get sorted out.

Yuck! I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating situation with your lo. I hope that he gets "healed" quickly.

    I think it is a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance.

I feel so bad for her.

No blood, but the gassy green poos are getting worse.

She seems to be in so much pain.

I just can't seem to get my over supply and under supply controlled.

    Thanks for the
