Don't you hate when you child is sick but as soon as the Dr, nurse or respiratory therapist comes in the sick child becomes well? I swear the hospital staff thinks I'm crazy.

Everyone has been wonderful with the exception of one nurse and one Respiratory therapist. The respiratory therapist doesn't think Hunter needs the treatments even though the Ped ordered them for coughing and wheezing spells. The RT only gave him one treatment last night and that was only after I insisted. She kept telling me that it would make him cough worse (she is a real ***), but after he received the treatment he stopped coughing and fell asleep until 4 am. He woke himself by coughing so I called the nurse at 4:30 and again at 5 and guess what it is 6:52 and still no breathing treatment. He coughed so hard for so long that he feel asleep. When they do come in he will be asleep and they will think he doesn't need one The nurse did come in to tell me that the Rt is busy and will be in later and I told her that I am concerned that Hunter is not nursing enough (he coughs the entire time) and she told me that is was ok as long as he was drinking from his sippy. I'm like no he needs to nurse more than he needs apple juice.

sorry to ramble but I'm sleep deprived.

    WERE HOME!!!

Well Hunter is doing so much better, but I have to slowly wean him off the steroids and he gets breathing treatments as needed.

Hopefully no more hospital visits for a very very long time.
