    Default Sore Breasts-How Long?

    Hi Everyone!

Ryan has been officially weened since November 3rd. I have extremely sore breasts and was just wondering from all the experienced mommas...how long does this usually last? Is there anything I need to watch out for?

    TIA

Cooper weaned sept/oct (was nursing very little at the time anyway) I had sore breasts for about two weeks. Sore for me was tenderness. I was never engorged, just really tender to the touch.

No no no no...no cold turkey! Definitely a process. For a while it was before bed and then about once or twice through the night. Then it was only right before bed. No fever, just very sore.

I'm the same way so far Heather, just sore. No engorgement or anything like that. I talked to the dr. and she said the same thing...it usually lasts about 2 weeks. BTW, your weaning story was great!

**Nursing was by far the most amazing thing I have ever done in my entire life!**
