I take the seeds straight 3x/day (amount: http://www.kellymom.com/herbal/milks...fenugreek.html) now, because they're so much cheaper than the pills.
Sorry if this is a dumb question...do you swallow the seeds or make an infusion using them?

There are no dumb questions here.

I am not familiar with taking the seeds whole. I am aware of taking capsules or a tincture. The lowmilksupply.org website has details.

Anyway, I just swallow the seeds. Go here: http://www.kellymom.com/herbal/milks...fenugreek.html for amounts & equivalences. IME, the seeds work just as well as the pills.

OK so I just tried to swallow a teaspoon of seeds straight from the packet.....ended up having to spit them out...is there a knack or is it just me (I'm generally useless with tablets and capsules too)

The tinctures are v expensive so i'd like to be able to use the seed but don't want to lose potency.

I had another go and I can do about 1/3 teaspoon at a time...this just might work! Thank you!

Glad you can swallow them, and with your supply! Fenugreek made a big difference for me.

BTW, if they're hard to find, locally you can get seeds online at http://www.nutsonline.com/seedsspices/fenugreek.html for a good price.

The other thing you have to remember with fenegreek is that every brand isn't the same and ever perrson doesn't respond to the same amount...

Are you smelling like maple syrup? If not, you will need to up the dosage or try a different brand. Once I started smelling like maple syrup, I knew it was working. (my urine and armpits mostly hehehe).

I also made these oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that had yeast in them....they also help... plus eating oatmeal for breakfast (EVERYDAY)

with pp, but one note - I know a few women (some here on the Forum) who had results with fenugreek but no maple syrup smell. And for me, the smell faded over time and now it's barely there at all. (DH says he misses it - apparently I reminded him of pancakes.)
