Thread: how long will it take me to pump enough to travel for a week?

Question how long will it take me to pump enough to travel for a week?

I am expecting my third baby in about a month and I will bf exclusively. My job requires travel and I am trying to figure out when I can go back to work. Does anyone have any ideas on how long it will take me to pump enough for me to travel for a week once the baby is born? I pumped with my first two but I don't really remember how much I could pump at a time as I wasn't travelling and was just pumping for convenience. Thanks for your help, I don't want to plan a trip too soon and have to supplement with formula because I didn't have enough time to get a good freezer supply.

    Congratulations!

It all depends on how much you are able to pump at a time, and how frequently you pump. I would start by pumping in the morning. That's when my supply seems the most abundant. You can also pump after every feeding and start building your stash that way. You won't get much after a feeding, but it's a great way to build up some bm an ounce at a time.
