Oh - and the author is British. So "chip" = "french fry" (more or less).

I just got Gil Rapley's book and I can't wait to read it!

At least 3 more months until DS2 will be ready to try starting solids .... but it might take me that long to find time to read the book.

It is a quick read. I kind of wish there were more pictures just because it was so much fun to look at!

It is a good, solid book - and after showing bits of it to hubby he backed off on his fear of trying it!

We did BLS with DS1 and really enjoyed it. We'd be doing BLS with DS2 anyways ...

    Book report!

Finally read Gil Rapley's baby led solids (weaning book).

A quick read and very helpful.

We've already done BLS with DS1 so I didn't learn a lot but it was a good refresher.

If I was thinking about doing BLS for the first time it would have been VERY helpful because it goes into more detail on the theory as well as dos / don'ts. Includes lots of little stories from parents who have BTDT which I found reassuring and often funny.

A little repetitious, but I think she wanted to make sure the key points are made if someone only read one or two chapters and didn't read the whole thing cover to cover.

I loaned it out to some people in my town, and two families so far thought it was the best concept they had ever heard of and so logical after reading this... I told the husband who was being made to read it to just read the bullet points if he wanted to skip the repetition and just get to the heart of the matter. As a first time mom, this was a great source of info and definitely clinched my decision.
