Thread: Not pumping enough milk

    Default Not pumping enough milk

I don't believe I am not pumping enough milk for the day my DD is at daycare. I am only pumping 8-10 oz. It is not likely I will have the opportunity to add additional pumping times and when I do try, I don't get much out.

My question is, can we add formula for the day, and if so, will I still be able to nurse at home?
Any recommendations? I just feel like she would be happier to eat a little more than what she is getting.

    How old is she?
How long is she in care?
What's her 'typical' feeding schedule now?

DD is 7 months old. She is in care for 10 hours a day.
right now she BF at 6am, 2 bottles during the day (+ 2 solid meals) in DC, BF at 5-6pm(+solid), BF 9pm, BF 12am, BF 3am and then starts all over at 6am.

I used to pump more during the day, but since I started pumping less is why I am now feeding her right before we leave the house. This way she gets 2 bottles 4-5 oz each before I pick her up.
I just feel like she needs more than that. It is not that she won't take more, it is that I don't have more.

Thanks for the links, that is good website.
