    Default Sore breasts after weaning?

I still feel pretty lost when it comes to weaning. We've officially been weaned about a month
But for a week or so (maybe longer) my breasts ahave been sore. I havent been engorged for a long long time. My breasts didnt leak or anything when we stopped nursing. But I was wondering if the soreness is something to do with weaning? I thought maybe i had some plugged ducts, but its hard to tell.
And I've been sleeping on my stomach a lot more lately, maybe that is the reason.
I dont know, I guess I'm just asking if those of you who weaned, were your breasts tender for weeks after?

Hmm I'm not sure since we've not weaned yet, but could you be pregnant?

Are they engorged or red at all?

we are actively TTC, I really dont know if I am pregnant, if i was i would be just barely.

No engorgement, no redness at all. The last time I was engorged was well before DS weaned. It was such a gradual process, and i think that is why it was pain-free (until i noticed this tenderness)

I would think it's just hormonal as long as there are no other signs of something up (like dark discharge, sudden engorgement) maybe it's just a really really early pg sign!? Good luck

That's what I was thinking too... maybe you're preggo?? I remember reading on the TTC thread that you are TTC. Maybe this is your month??

ETA: Or on the flip-side... if AF is getting ready to visit, you could have some breast tenderness from that??

maybe it is AF...a week and a half early I dont know, i dont want to think pregancy and get my hopes up, you know?
I guess I'll just stop sleeping on my stomach, and be wary of which bras I wear and see what happens!

My instant thought when I read this is that you are pregnant. How long until you can POAS?

Also, did I miss that you were trying to wean or did Copp just do it on his own?

Well, i took an overnight trip away from DH and DS end of Sept, and used that night away as a start off point to night wean. He was only nursing 3-4 times (all at night) and it was like he was ready b/c he went with it and pretty much stopped on his own! hardly fussed too, i think i got lucky.
It probably will be another week before i POAS...i purposely havent bought any so i wont be tempted before then!

Hi! Did you write a weaning story and I missed it? Or were you just going to slide that in?
I am interested in how you did this? How long it took? How he took it? How do you feel now???? Do tell!

    Way too lazy for formula
