    Default Cold Medication and Breastfeeding

Does anyone know if it's safe to take Zicam when nursing? I've asked my OB/GYN and pediatrican, and neither of them know which seems crazy because that OTC medication has been around for many years...

I'm trying to hold off a cold that my son has been passing around our family -including to my 7 week old

    THANKS!

Yep, Taken as directed you should be fine (Nasal sprays are better than oral meds too)
This is a site that you should be able to look just about any medication or natural treatment up.
    Hope you feel better soon

Thanks so much - that site is great! I appreciate your reply. I'm off to take some Zicam now and hopefully keep this cold from setting in too hard
