Thread: Hiccups?

    Default Hiccups?

My DD hiccups A LOT. I give her Baby Bliss gripe water (which BTW rocks! ) and they are gone within seconds. But why does she hiccup so much? Is this normal? She's 13 wks old.

BTW I used to have OS and h/fmilk imbalance and hiccups were an every hour all day occassion. Could it be that I still have an imbalance? She's not gassy anymore and she no longer poops green.

My LO had hiccups three times a day in my belly. I loved it by the way And she still gets them all the time, sometimes 3-4 times a day

I think its caused by a muscle spasm of the diaphragm. The diaphragm is a muscle that separates the chest and the abdominal cavity.

I wouldnt worry too much but ask your Dr next time your there

the gripe water works fine... but you could just let her suckle on you and maybe get some sipps of your BM... that will help too!
