Default Stopping Solids - a good idea?

I started feeding my son a little rice cereal at 4 1/2 months. I've also given him tastes of banana and sweet potatoes. Is it okay to stop feeding him solids and wait until he is 6 months old? I don't want to do more harm than good.

go slowly and follow your babies cues!
I would ditch the cereal, its just refined and highly processed.
your milk is the best untill around 6 months and for some babies longer.

Yes, it's totally ok to stop alltogether on the solids! If your baby was eating a lot of solids and they had begun to replace breastmilk (which solids actually shouldn't do until a baby is much closer to 12 mo), you may find that your milk supply is a little lower, but just nursing your baby whenever he shows signs of hunger should bring it back up in no time. It's all supply and demand; up the demand, and the supply will follow.
