    Default "Pinched" nipple while breastfeeding

I have a 10wk old and nursing has been going good until recently he seems to be pinching the the nipple while he is sucking. How can I stop this?

I am having the same problem on my left side. My LO is also 10 weeks. He's never had a great latch due to tongue-tie issues. He feels like he is "chomping" rather than smooth sucking which I thought we had finally corrected. He has always preferred the right side and now I think he senses my anxiety on the left and is practically refusing that side. I noticed this started right around the time he started refusing the pacifier and when I do get him to take it he chomps on that too. I'm frustrated! It took us 4 weeks to finally get latched on and there is no way I am going back to EP and bottles.

I think the problem is related to:
    1. Not getting him on assymetrical
    2. Not getting him on deep enough- Sometimes I feel him pinching on the nipple rather than the areola

I just can't seem to fix it! Anyone have any suggestions?
