Default Is she having too much milk?

    Yet more questions!

My 5m old always spits up a lot of BM (except during night feeds). Is this because she takes more than what she really needs?

I'm back at work soon (8.30 - 5pm) and have been storing 6oz bags. Should I make 4oz bags instead? I know she'll take the 6oz if given to her but as she seems to throw back a lot then maybe she would be better with 4oz per feed? How many do you think I should leave per day? (She's been feeding frequently just recently -I think she's geeting ready for solids).

    Hope you can advise!

I would leave as much milk as you think she wants/needs. SOme babies just spit up.. Unless she is crying in pain with the spitting up or losing weight I wouldn't worry. My daughter was a happy spitter.. she spit up a few times after every feeding and never fussed about it. She is 14 months old and still spits up occasionally.

I would store your milk in smaller amounts. The dcp can always add more if she seems hungry after a bottle.

I have a baby with reflux and I find smaller more frequent meal really helped the amount of spit up.

If she is over-eating with a bottle, perhaps giving her the same amount over the course of the day, but doing it in smaller increments, more often. kwim?

Okay. Thanks for your advice which makes great sense. I'll ask them to give her smaller amounts but more frequently.
