Do some research before you start giving your child supplements for fluoride.

i think i remember you work in the dental profession right??? this is a quote from your first link..
    37) Fluoridation has been found to be ineffective at preventing one of the most serious oral health problems facing poor children, namely, baby bottle tooth decay, otherwise known as early childhood caries (Barnes 1992 and Shiboski 2003).
most of the 50 reasons were specifically about flouridation of water right?? what is your opinion of applying the flouride directly to the teeth?? our dentist has instructed to do this with a toothpaste that has 5x the amount of flouride

I don't work in the dental profession, but we do a lot of research in this house so you've probably seen posts by me about fluoride. The only way I would be willing to give my child ANY kind of fluoride treatment would be if I KNEW they would spit it all out. Even then I would have to think about it. My son does have BBM, but I am positive it has to do with genetics (my father, sister & DF all have weak teeth) & my previously laxed brushing regime. I have NEVER had a fluoride treatment or fluoridated water & I'm 26 & have never had a cavity.
