    Default What's the lipase issue?

Hi. I saw the "Lipase" thread but couldn't find the original conversation that explains what the problem is. Can someone explain?

I don't know of a thread that explains it (although I'm sure there are a few out there) but the problem is an enzyme that breaks down in the milk causing it to have a soapy, sour or really bad taste. It's not harmful to your baby, but depending on your babies preference they may or may not take the expressed milk.
