    Default Vitamin c and iron

We just learned that my son has anemia and I'm going to use this as an opportunity to whip myself into a better mama and get us eating healthy. But I am by no means a cooking genius, unfortunately. I'm wondering if anyone can give me any ideas as to how I should combine iron rich foods and vitamin c foods. Also, the doctor instructed to me to give him his iron supplement with orange juice but this really makes me weary since my son is still under one. I'm worried the acidity may be too much for him. Could I mix the supplement into pureed banana since it is also hight on formula -I should have asked the ped, just didn't think of it then

This sounds great but where do I get it. Is it floradix that doesn't have the honey or yeast. I checked out the page but I couldn't find anything on a children's one, it looked like that one was for women only?

watermelon is good because it contains both.....i was shocked to see paul newmans o's have 50% daily value of iron!! we went through this too before one....there are lots of good foods to give.....do a search of these forums for iron and my old posts should pop up
one important thing i remember is dairy impedes the absorption of iron so you would want to wait at least a half hour before and after giving him something with iron.....
