Default breast feeding and hand, foot, and mouth

I just brought home a newborn and my 18 mo old has hand, foot, mouth. He probably had it before I went into the hospital and the fever showed up the day we were home. Our newborn has been home for 4 days. Does anyone know if it is ok for me to continue breast feeding her when I have been exposed to hand, foot, and mouth? I would assume that she is getting my antibodies - and the ped. didn't tell me to stop breast feeding, so I've kept it up. Any thoughts or experience on this?

No experience, but I'm assuming that breast is still best bc, like you mentioned, your newborn is getting your antibodies, in addition to a bunch of other great things. Also, they usually say that is okay to continue to breastfeed when you have thrush or have a cold so I don't see why this should be a reason to stop.
