AAP Recommendation: Maternal medication usually compatible with breastfeeding.
There is strong evidence that the use of [this medication] in breastfeeding mothers causes pyloric stenosis in infants. Pyloric stenosis is the abnormal enlargement of the muscles of the pylorus (the opening between the stomach and duodenum). This usually occurs in infants 3-10 weeks of age. See azithromycin as an alternative
