Taste better: add maple syrup, sugar, or a bit of salt
Not so thick: add water, breastmilk, or whole milk (if your baby is over 1 year)

    We add unsweetened applesauce.

We use whole oats instead of the instant/quick cook. I think it gives it a better taste and texture.

I add a dollop of molasses and puree some fruits to add in. I also share his breakfast from the same bowl since he is always interested in eating what he sees me eating

With a little bit of water to if the mixture's too thick. Smells a lot like apple pie.

This is DS's first solid food of choice. I tried rice cereal and he totally hated it (ETA I'm getting a recipe from my MIL on how to make my own "congee", as rice cereal is called in Chinese cuisine, so I'll keep you posted if that makes a difference) , but he kept grabbing at our food at dinner time, so I had to give him something. This is what seemed to work for us.

Some say he blows out his diapers just so he can stay naked longer... and that if you take him to IKEA, he will try to chat up the brightly colored sample rooms on display in the store. All we know is, he's called THE LANCE.
