    Default Help with Nipple Confusion

My daughter has nipple confusion. I have spoken with a IBCLC and she was unsure what the problem was. She is gaining well, growing well, meeting mile stones, tongue is in correct placement when eating but not when comfort nursing, she gets enough of nipple etc. She is not tongue tied and does not have thrush, however, my nipples keep coming out pinched and pink.

I would rather not have to pay another $40 or whatever to see another IBCLC, so can anyone advise me on how to fix this problem? If I can't within a few weeks/days, then I will contact another IBCLC. TIA.
Exclusively & since 4/28/08. Have not yet mastered , but working on it. I am also diapers!

She is 7 weeks. I gave her a bottle twice when she was a week old. PP blues had me wanting to give up and just pump, but I knew I would regret it so I stopped. She was taking a pacifier, but I stopped both because I want her to come to ME for comfort. I do not think I have any cracks, but no, I am not bleeding. Thanks for the links. I am looking at them

I would also encourage you to seek out your local leader - she's free to talk to and some will do home visits.
If you haven't looked already - here is the link http://www.llli.org/WebUS.html

The links that Andrea gave you are great here is the LLL page on it

Give lots of skin to skin contact, take it easy with her and yourself, and make the breast a warm nice place to be.

Also take a look at this link (non LLL) - it's a great latch
