Default 6 week GS - eating for HOURS!

Hi ladies! My LO is almost 7 weeks old. Her last weight at her 1 month DA was 7 lbs 7 oz, up from her lightest at 5 lbs 4 oz.

She has done nothing but eat today. Literally. She hasn't slept AT ALL. She has had plenty of very wet diapers, and a few very good poopy diapers as well. I nursed her in the parking lot at Walmart, then again IN Walmart, then again in the parking lot and she has more or less stayed on since we got home (at 11 a.m.).

She is alert and happy when she pops off, and I can feel the let downs.

I am treating a case of mastitis, in case that helps.

Is it normal for her to be eating this much this often right now? I know a GS occurs around now, but this isn't every 2 hours or even every hour. Its every 20 minutes. I have a 2 year old who needs attention and food. LOL

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Firstly Constant feeding can be draining on so many levels. This sounds like a typical 6 week growth spurt.

It wont last forever! I seem to remember they last about a week but the link should explain more clearly... Good luck with both your little ones.
