Default Avocado... Praises and a Question

First off, I just want to say that I am in love with the avocado! I've always loved avocado, but now I have a new reason to love it. It has completely helped my lo to poop, pain-free! He was pooping only abt every 3rd day and it would be hard and painful. We took out cereal, added lots of 'P' fruits, added sippies of bm and water, but nothing has helped as much as the avocado. I mix it in with pears, sweet potatoes, serve it in chunks... really with anything (and everything). Ds has even been able to eat bananas again and still have a normal, soft poops, almost daily! LOVE THE AVOCADO!! This brings me to my question: Is there such thing as serving too much avocado? He's probably eating 1/4 to 1/2 of a large avocado a day. Thanks!

My only advice would be that anything you eat on routine (daily) basis should idealy be organic.

We choose organic fruits and veggies... except for bananas and avocados bc of the thick skin. You think it's worth investing the extra $? Oh heck, the grocery budget is gonna suffer...

the environmental workers group did a study on fruits and veggies. they studied how much pesticide residues are on different fruits and veggies. Some are really bad, like apples and strawberries and some aren't. it helped us because we can't afford to buy everything organic. so it showed us which ones are worth spending the extra $ on. Their website is www.ewg.org. here's a link for the list of the fruits and veggies: http://www.foodnews.org/ just scroll down.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about buying avacados organic, especially if you can't afford it. From the first website above, it lists avacados as containing the lowest pesticide load (tied with onions, interestingly).
