I have to second the cheap hand blender. I've used them all (food processor, blender, metal food mill, electric baby mill, etc) and the hand/stick blender is so much easier. First of all, since you have control of it you can get in there and mash it all up, no matter how big of a batch. You don't have to keep stopping to scrape the sides like with a blender or food processor. I recommend putting it in a quart size soup container that you'd get from take out from a restaurant, with the tall sides. Also, it is so much easier to clean that a blender or food processor. Just rinse off and blend some water and you're good to go. I've used it on just about every type of baby food and I've never had a problem. Good luck!
