Thanks everyone for the words, advice and links.

I am very sad we have to stop but I'm happy I could give him the 6 months!

I have given him 6 months and we both loved it but like I said the time has come. My goal was always 6 months and I have met that goal tomorrow!
    Congratulations on reaching your goal!

I'm so sorry to hear you're not feeling well and I do hope that your medications will help with that.

I mean, do I drop one session a day or what? I don't want this to be trimatic for him because along with stopping nursing I will be going back to work. I don't want him to have both happen at the same time but they will be very close together. Depending on how fast I find a job.

I would suggest dropping a session every couple of weeks or week. If you need to move quicker, you could drop a feeding every 3-4 days (matching your own comfort level). This will give your body long enough to "gear down" milk production. Going slowly will be much easier on you AND your baby. As Andrea mentioned, it's best to wean as gradually as you can and with love.
