Default Switching to level 2 nipples?

When did you all switch to level 2 nipples on your bottles? I don't want to switch and then have Sophia reject the breast because it's too slow. She doesn't seem to be getting upset over the milk coming out of the bottle slow, but I want to make sure she isn't working herself to death. She is 5 months now.

We attempted to switch around 8 months, DS then started a small nursing strike. I could tell he was very frustrasted by my flow not being as fast as a stage 2 nipple. As soon as we switched back, everything was okay.

Is there any reason you feel like you need to switch to level 2? DD is 9 months and I still use level one. She hasn't complained and we're still bfing really well. I don't think it's recommended to switch to faster flowing nipples.

We never switched either. I figured my nipple didn't get any faster, so why change the other one lol.

We never switched - used "newborn" bottle nipples until DS stopped using a bottle at about 12 or 13 mo.

when dd was about 4 months she went through a stage where she would refuse the bottle, so I attempted switching to a higgher flow, but she choked pn it, as well as from the cup, so we just stuck with the slow flow. she is able to drink well from a cup or straw now, but we still use the slow flow nipple and she is now 9 months.

We switched at 5.5 months, because it was taking 40+ minutes to finish a 4 oz bottle and she was getting tired and frustrated. She can drain my bbs in 5 minutes flat, pretty much since she was 2 weeks old. With the size 2, she finishes 5 oz in 10-15 min, and still LOVES to nurse.

ETA: DD is now 7.5 months old, so she's been at stage 2 for 2 months now with no problems. FWIW, the Sassy mam size 2 is still labeled a newborn nipple, not sure if brands differ. They call it medium flow.
