    Default Night weaning and pumping

    So ladies,

We are exclusive pumpers due to thrush at 6 weeks. Anyway, we are at 7 months and she is sleeping through the night. Is there any way that I can stop my 2-3am pumping session and not effect my supply.

I try and think like a nursing Mom. I try to pump for every bottle she gets. I pump at:

    2-3am
    6:30am
    9am
    11am
    1pm
    3pm
    6pm
    9pm

I am hoping to skip the 2-3am pumping session. I did that over the weekend, and my supply is suffering today. How do nursing only Moms do it when their LO's night wean??? If they can do it, can't I get a full night sleep too???

    Thanks in advance.

How much of a difference was there? Was it enough to keep you from meeting your baby's needs?

Maybe try squeezing an extra session in before bed? Or if you go to bed after your 9 pm pumping, try squeezing in a session between 3 pm and 9pm?

Do you combine hand expression with pumping? If you don't already, I would recommend trying it. Maybe that would help drain your breasts better in the morning after sleeping through?

After missing another night of pumping last night, I had to raid my freezer to get milk for my LO today. I have to say that I did not do a really good job of pumping during the day. I am SOOOOO ready to be done. I AM going to make it to a year though. I REALLY don't want to give her formula.

I will TRY to get up and pump through the night.

But really, how do nursing Moms do it. Does the baby know to nurse more often during the day?? Just wondering.

    Thanks for any advice.

Yes, in most cases baby would nurse more during the day.

How many ounces were you short?

Here is some helpful info about freezer stashes:

I had to defrost about 3 oz.

I am just trying to get through each day now. I am SOOOO ready to be done, but I know I am giving my LO the best I can.
