    Default sinus headache

What is there that I can take for a sinus headache that won't affect my supply?

Water! Drink a ton of water and it will get your mucus draining so you'll be able to blow your nose. Don't forget the humidifier is your best friend. Get well soon!

Thanks! We are both doing those things. Right now I have a headache so bad that I'm throwing up from the pain. I'm going to go to the dr in the morning but was wondering if tylenol sinus could be taken?

Hope you got some relief from the dr, I usually take claritin and either tylenol or ibuprofen. Works pretty well, I just stay away from the pseudoephedrine and things like that. A little caffeine with it helps too, not crazy amounts, just a soda or tea or something. There's something in caffeine that helps the other stuff work (ala Excedrin- but I think there's more caffeine in that then what I drink)

I've had good success by first using steam to help break up the gunk in my head, and then nasal irrigation (neti pot) to flush it out. For the steam - I boil some water in a pot on the stove, then turn the stove off, put the pot on a counter or table, and CAREFULLY put my head over the pot with a towel over my head to help concentrate the steam, and try to breathe deeply through my mouth and nose. For info on nasal irrigation / neti pot - there are lots of great websites.

My dr is out of the office today . I went to walgreens and asked the pharmacist about tylenol sinus and he said no i can't take that unless its for extreme cases. So Im on ibuprofen right now. I don't know how long these things take to go away.
