A nursing necklace may help with the pinching. When my 9 mo bites I pull his face into my breast, so that his nose is covered. He will let go of the nipple and pull away, when he does this I tell him NO BITE. He has only did it a few times but it seems to work for us.

Is she teething? When DS teeth are bothering him I give him a teething toy or his paci before I nurse so that he can pull and bite on it and that seems to work for us as well.

she'll be 7 months on the 10th of may.

a nursing necklace... i might try that. lol... i thought those were for distracted babies... but that does sound like a good idea. i do think she may be teething... but she also smiles when she bites, so i'm not so sure. heh. i'll try to see if putting her into my breast will help. thanks!

    P.S.--what does NAK mean? heh.

mr. baby is pinching too... AND he wants booth boobs visible at all times while we're nursing which means i've got both breasts hanging out most of the time lately!

one of the things that works for us with the pinching is to give him a toy (or even his sock!) to fiddle with. the may still fiddle around with it at my other nipple, but it's way better than getting pinched by those little razor sharp nails!

as for biting, i was really firm the first few times he did it to put him on the floor and say 'don't bite mommy, it hurts!' and letting him be (sometimes angry and crying) for a few minutes before putting back on the boob. it seemed to work. he hardly ever uses his teeth now while nursing.

good luck! you'll find something to distract her!
