    Default Eats all the time

I have a 8 day old boy. He was eating 2-3 hours until today. It seems that I feed for 10-15 each side during one sitting. I hand him off or put him down for 30 mins or so and he wants to eat again. Anyone have this issue? Will I make enough milk for him at this pace?

    Thanks for the help.

That does sound typical for a newborn. Here is more info to give you some insight.

And if you nurse one cue, you shouldn't have any problems as breastmilk is created on a supply and demand type system. Here's another link to help you determine if baby is getting enough - based on his diaper output.

    Congrats on your new baby!!!!!

it's a supply and demand situation. if your baby wants to nurse around the clock, your body will make it happen for him!

Thanks. Every time he gets near me he roots and poops. I will take the wet and dirty diapers as a very good sign.

    Thanks for the reassurance!! :-)
