    Default Relactation question...

I have a quick question... I'm really starting to wonder if my left breast might actually work but it has dried up... How would I go about getting it to produce milk again? Would it just be pumping it or having my son try to suck on it before putting him to my other breast? Thanks

Good for you for working to relactate in that breast for your little one. A combination of bringing baby to the breast and expressing milk between nursings is often effective. This link offers more info, and don't hesitate to ask for details: http://www.llli.org/FAQ/relactation.html

Have you tried pumping while letting your son nurse on the other side?
I am exclusively pumping and had to relactate completely, someone recommended Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle and they really worked well. I went from 8oz a day to about 40 oz. This might help for the breast that dried up plus increase your supply? I still produce more from the left side, but it is much more equal now.
