Default How long is the milk good for?

If my baby drank from the bottle already and there is left over, how long is the breast milk in bottle good for given that she already drank from it? Should I discard the breast milk after feeding from the bottle?

    Thanks.

It can be used for 2 hours after it is first heated.

The general recommendation for breastmilk that has been warmed, fed to the baby, but not finished is that it can be refrigerated, reheated, and offered to the baby one more time--no longer than four hours from the first offering. Here's a helpful resource:
    www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/letdown.html

And aside for anyone else reading this--note that the same recommendation does NOT hold true for formula or breastmilk/formula mixed. Formula must be discarded after a feeding.

Wow, that's pretty good. Thanks to the anti bacteria properties in breast milk. Thanks for the info!
