    Default good latch but pain?

    I believe my daughter has a good latch. I still have pain while breastfeeding however, at the area where she is gumming, I sometimes have tender breast and aereola afterwards. My nipples are not in pain. Is this normal? Will the pain go away eventually?

    how old is baby?

    Baby is 3 wks old. The pain lessens after the initial latch on.

    how are babies wet diapars?
    weight gain?
    How often is baby nursing?

    It could be that your baby isn't latched on deeply enough. Latch can look great from the outside, but still not be right on the inside.
