    Default bottle nipples

Rarely does my son take a bottle with expressed milk... so I just noticed that the nipples we have for the bottles are for age 0-3 months. He's now pushing 7 months. I realize the bottle nipples have a different flow rate/ age. My question is: what bottle nipple would best simulate the flow rate from breastfeeding? Do I need to upgrade his bottle nipples?

If you still plan on breastfeeding and he isn't having any trouble taking the the current nipple, then you don't have to change it. It is recommended that you stay on the slow flow nipple.

My DS was 8 mo when I decided to become a sahm and he was still on the lowest flow nipples and did just fine. I agree that unless he is having trouble i would not change the flow.
