Celebrations Are Bursting Out All Over!
With the official World Breastfeeding Week, August 1-7, less than two weeks away, celebrations have been popping all over the USA.
Did you celebrate at Jennie Hudson's Farm in Huntsville, Alabama on Saturday, July 15? Did your kids enjoy the swimming? Or visiting the horses?
Will you be celebrating with the folks from Holland and Zeeland, Michigan on Saturday, July 29 at Smallenberg Park? You'll be able to join in the picnic and enjoy the music provided by Kindermusik of Holland.
If you're saving your energy for the big celebration week, a quick glance at the World Breastfeeding Week calendar at http://www.lllusa.org/wbw/calendar.php will show you the variety of events planned for the official week. On Saturday, August 5, for example, there will be a 5K Walk and Stroll for Breastfeeding in Bristol, Tennessee. The folks planning that event will also have information booths and prizes for most funds raised for La Leche League.
Can't manage to celebrate until later in the month? How about meeting at the Queens Zoo, Flushing Meadow Corona Park in New York on Wednesday, August 23, 2006? Folks will meet at the main gate and have a brown bag lunch by the sea lion's exhibit.
No matter where you're from, there's a celebration bursting with fun near you!
