LO has been like this for a month now. I really thought it was one of those things he'd do for a week or so then things would get better but no...
He sucks a few times and then screams hysterically until I switch sides. Repeat 30 times per feed... If I try to insist that he stays at the same breast he goes ballistic.
He seems intolerant to many things so he is EBF (after a bad start with a few solids) and I am on an elimination diet. Nothing has changed in the last month in that, though.
He was distractible at 4 months and I've fed him in a quiet dark place since then. I thought he might have been sick of that, so I started feeding him in the open. Still the hysteria, with some distraction added for good measure.
I offer frequently (every 1.5 hours or so - suggested to me to help his tummy). I was wondering whether he just wasn't hungry and this annoyed him... but offering less frequently makes mo difference.
No signs of teething - at 8 mo he still doesn't have any teeth.
Milestones - crawling. Does he just want to be on the move and not be immobile for a feed?
I'm baffled and distressed - any ideas?
