duh....BM (breastmilk) for rash. got it. no, i have not tried it for a rash. I have used it to treat pink eye in my older child and it seem to make a difference.

I have been using BM for my son's diaper rash this past week. He's been on a strong medicine, since the entire family has been passing the sick bug around, and the bm on the rash has been working GREAT. It works ALOT better than diaper cream.

I put BM on, let it air dry then put on diaper cream.

I see the potential for confusion ... although I am definitely talking about expressed breast milk and not the other meaning for BM ! Anyway, I read that this is one of those "other" uses for breast milk. Just wondering if anyone had tried it?

Yes, I've used it and had great success with it. I also put EBM on my daughters eczema.

Just wanted to say you can try an oatmeal bath for a diaper rash too. It works great! You just need a sock to make an oatmeal teabag and put it under the hot running water while making baby's bath.

if its a yeast diapar rash that might be a bad thing to try

I don't think it's a yeast rash ... I'm pretty sure it's a contact diaper rash, but I am concerned that I could be wrong about that. We haven't had any problems with thrush, so I don't think there is a yeast problem with me. But I guess it's possible the contact diaper rash could have turned into a yeast rash. Would BM still be a bad idea in this case (being that I don't think thrush is involved)? (Sorry if that is confusing ...)
