Just looking for some recommendations on what to try next, strategy and food wise with the weaning process for my almost 1 year old. She's fed on demand still but I only offer when she's interested. I still enjoy nursing but would like to get her eating more solids and ultimately not dependent on needing to nurse to go sleep.
And, if there's any advice on how to get the little one to drink more I'd happily sign over my soul. I'm lucky to get a couple of ounces down her at mealtimes. She's never drank from a bottle and seems perplexed by any sippy cup put in front of her. Regular cups are the only way she gets any other liquids
Anywho, here's the lowdown (with a sample menu) on a "normal" day:
Wakes up between 5:30 - 6:30, nurses for as long as she wants.
Breakfast between 8:30 - 9:30. Oatmeal, toast, grapes, water or milk
Nurses (at some point between 10:30 - 11:30), takes a nap
Lunch between 12:30 - 1:30. Yoghurt, banana, cheese, toast, some other fruits and water.
Occasional snack. Rice cake.
Nurses (at some point between 2 - 3), takes a nap
Occasional snack. Rice cake, grapes.
Sometimes a nursing session around 5.
Dinner. Pasta/veggies/rice with various sauces, cooked veggies from our plates, banana, some other fruits and water.
Nurses (at some point between 7 - 8:30), down for the night (in our Utopian alternate world).
