    Default Peanut Butter

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but at what age did you feed your LO's peanut butter? Some say to wait til 3 yrs old but others like my Dr say to try it now. I'm sure DS has had some hidden peanut in other foods I have given. I think its better for me to try at home since we have a hospital down the street rather than it be in some food at a Thai restaurant we are at. We don't have peanut allergies in our families but supposedly that doesn't matter. Not sure what to do. I've read some scary stories.
Isn't there a safe way to test for a peanut allergy?

If you don't have a family history of peanut allergies, I'm sure it's fine to start now if you have your doc's go-ahead. You might be able to get allergy testing done, but personally I'd only bother with that if there was a family history of severe peanut allergy. JMHO.
