Default What I eat in what he eats

Does anyone know long it takes for what I eat to go into my breastmilk? My 6month old has some food allergies and Im trying to track his reactions to what Im eating.

From what I've read, anywhere between 4hrs and 24hrs - depends on the food you ate and how your body processes it.

good luck - I had the same issues (trying to track down the food).

I have "witnessed" it in 2 hours. Chocolate used to give my baby gas. It never failed that within 2 hours after eating it, horns were tooting. I have a crazy fast metabolism, so I don't know if that factors into it or not.

I read that dairy products take up to 2 weeks to completely flush out of your system. You LO could possibly have a reaction to a dairy product you ate a while ago! Other foods take between 4 - 24 hours, I think.
